Over the past year, we have been working hard on a much-requested addition: the Club Breeding Regulations (VFR in Dutch) module. This allows clubs to have litters that have been bred or are due to be bred automatically checked against the Club Breeding Regulations. The content of these regulations varies greatly from club to club. To ensure the module is useful for all our customers, we have developed a set of general, overarching rules. These include, for example:
- Both parent animals must be free from condition X
- A combination of result xyz and result xyz is not permitted, but xyz and abc is
By generalising the specific rules, the module is widely applicable.
This module enables associations, clubs and studbook organisations to automatically check whether matings comply with their established breeding rules. This check can be carried out both in advance (using a test litter) and retrospectively (in the list of litters born).
The module can also be used in breeding programmes involving different breeds; separate breeding regulations with their own rules can be set up for each breed. With this module, all users can see at a glance whether a particular mating combination meets the requirements or not. In this way, as an association, you can support your members by making it easier to breed responsible combinations.
How do you set up the module?
This module is now available in ZooEasy. Are you interested in using the module, or would you like more information? Please contact our helpdesk for assistance with setting it up or further details!
