As a breed club or studbook organisation, you are responsible for the welfare of your breed. Responsible breeding is of paramount importance in this regard. This means that breeding pairings must meet certain requirements regarding welfare, health and kinship. For dog breed clubs in the Netherlands, this is laid down in the Club Breeding Regulations (VFR in Dutch). For Flemish associations, this is included in breed-specific breeding programmes. Other associations have their own rules regarding breeding.

Checking whether litters that have been bred or are to be bred comply with all the rules is a considerable task. However, with the ‘Automated CBR Check’ module, the rules of a breeding regulation or breeding programme can be programmed into the database. The module then automatically checks whether bred litters comply with the set rules. Users can also check, before creating a mating, whether the combination will comply with the set rules by means of a test litter. Handy for the members of your association or studbook organisation!

With this module, associations, clubs and studbook organisations can automatically check whether combinations comply with the breeding rules they have established. This check can be carried out both in advance (using a test litter) and retrospectively (in the list of born litters).

How do you activate the CBR module?

Before you start using the module, it is a good idea to have a clear understanding of your club’s breeding rules. It is also important that your database is properly set up; we can help you with this and offer advice during a free consultation. We will then be happy to assist with the implementation and configuration of the module, ensuring it aligns perfectly with your association’s rules. The module also allows you to apply different sets of breeding rules, for example for different breeds within your records. The annual maintenance costs are calculated on a case-by-case basis
