Module Cooperation between organisations: How do you, as a Manager, authorize an account for a specific organization (or country)?

With the module Cooperation between organizations, as an Manager, you can authorize accounts for a specific organization (or country, association, etc.—but we’ll refer to them as “organizations” in this instruction). This way, the user with that account can only edit data related to animals, combinations and contacts belonging to the organization for which the account is authorized.

The step-by-step plan is as follows:

  1. Click the menu Management
  2. Click the tab Accounts
  3. Click the sub tab List
  4. Select an account
  5. At the bottom, under the “Country of management” heading, you can authorize an organization (or organizations) for the account. The left column, under the heading “Available:”, lists the available organizations. The right column lists the selected organizations. Use the + icon to assign an available organization for authorization. When you click the +, the organization moves to the right column. Use the – icon to remove an organization from the right column.
  6. Once you have selected the relevant organisation(s), click Save.

Note: animals, combinations and contacts belonging to any unselected organisation(s) are still visible to the account. Here’s an example. Suppose you have two countries of management: the Netherlands and Germany. If you authorize an account for the Netherlands but not for Germany, that account will still be able to view animals, combinations and contacts where the country of management is Germany. However, they cannot edit these; they can only view them.
