How can I calculate the mean kinship value for a trial breeding?

  1. Click the menu Breeding pairs
  2. Click Trial Breeding pair. Since only one set of parents have been added we will choose a fictive breeding pair of mother and son.
  3. Click the button […] next to male and select 0003 as father
  4. Repeat this for the female with registration number 0002
  5. If you want you can limit the amount of generations with Limit to
    There are no ancestors in the database, so the amount of generations is just 1 in this case. The generation of the offspring is 0, the parents 1, etc.
  6. Click the button Calculate Meankinship %
