ZooEasy joins VHLGenetics / CombiBreed from 1 May

As of 1 May, the software company ZooEasy has become part of VHLGenetics in Wageningen. ZooEasy offers a software solution that enables hundreds of breed associations, studbooks and private breeders worldwide to easily manage their pedigree and breeding records. VHLGenetics (also known as Dr. van Haeringen Laboratory) carries out genetic testing for many of these associations and their members, including under the CombiBreed label. This testing provides them with insights into the pedigree and health of their animals.

By joining forces, ZooEasy and VHLGenetics can serve their customers even better. Erik Reudink, owner of ZooEasy: “I started ZooEasy in 1993. In the years since, ZooEasy has grown into a widely used software tool, both in the Netherlands and in many other countries. For instance, we count a large number of pedigree dog clubs among our customers. We also serve numerous associations dealing with other animal species such as cats, cattle, sheep and goats. Through our partnership with VHL, we are able to offer continuity to our existing customers and invest in new software. Furthermore, this enables us to attract more customers both at home and abroad, given VHLGenetics’ broad customer base.

Bert de Lange, director of VHLGenetics: ‘Our customers place great value on healthy animals. That is why we are seeing a growing need among our customers to use DNA testing to gain insight into the genetic health and welfare of their animals. VHLGenetics offers these tests via CombiBreed. Through ZooEasy, we can help associations and breeders to translate that genetic data into both strategic breeding policies and practical applications in the form of DNA-based mating advice.

Customers can contact ZooEasy in the usual way, and the staff members you are familiar with will be happy to answer any questions or address any comments you may have.
