Cooperate efficiently with other organisations – whilst retaining control over your own data
Would you like to collaborate easily with other organisations that breed the same breed, without losing control over your own data? With the ZooEasy ‘Inter-organisational Collaboration’ module, you can manage everything securely within a single shared database.
Within this central ZooEasy database, you can grant each other permissions to view, edit or add information. Each organisation determines which data is visible through authorisations.
Organisations can use each other’s data to supplement their own records. This allows pedigree data to be shared, and population calculations such as mean kinship, inbreeding and relatedness to be performed more accurately and comprehensively. Thanks to collaboration within a single database, data is always up to date.
How do you set up the module?
Before you activate the module, it is important to reach clear agreements with the organisation(s) involved regarding:
- Data roles, permissions and ownership
- What to do when adding or removing an organisation
- Appointing a super-administrator (with full permissions)
- Appointing an administrator for each organisation
After that, you can simply purchase the module and contact us to arrange the installation.
